LOL, well, the map makes it look more encompassing than it really was. Going to Moscow, St Petersburg and Kiev hardly warrants coloring half the continent red. Similarly, I've been to Santiago, Chile and visited a winery and a copper mine, but not the whole country. Much of my travel was done for business purposes, but a lot is because travel, seeing the world, is one of my passions and I shamelessly spend most of my money doing so. Also, I'm old, so I've had a lot of time to see a lot of places. ::grins::

And this only shows the land travel. I've cruised from the Red Sea, through the Med and Aegean (that sea twice), into and across the Atlantic, through the Panama Canal and up to Alaska, and have also cruised from Tahiti to Hawaii! My fav places are Greece, UK, Austria, Australia, home (Canada and our neighbour, the US), and the absolute fav is New Zealand.

LOL, sometimes I think I was born to travel. Fifty seven years after the fact, my mother is still hurt that at the age of three, I (her first born) was quite happy to take off on a trip with my grandparents and leaving her behind. But this map distorts a bit, doesn't it? Going to Hong Kong scarcely means having seen all of China; three cities in India do not represent the whole subcontinent, anymore than three cities in Russia warrant a splash all the way to Siberia! These days, I tend to fly only to see friends and family, though I'd dearly love to go on a Nile cruise and a safari!

Oh, the trip to see you is beginning to materialize! Probably next May or next Sept, a few of us plan to stay in the larger of the two cottages advertised by the Hive! Which month would be better in terms of weather there?

Drat! I missed out Hong Kong... I swear it's a sad day when you can't remember where you've been! You've certainly got me beaten though - even if you've only seen tiny bits of some countries *hg*

Yay for coming my way!! (Don't forget I'm buying you breakfast *g*) Um, May or September? I'd say either are lovely. May can be cold and soggy, but on the other hand everything is fresh and green and lush. September is more likely to be dry and warm-ish, and if you like to swim the sea will be nicer then, and the trees will be turning colour. England is almost impossible to predict with the weather though - no wonder we're obsessed with it!
