In the last Moonridge Online Auction, Hopeanne won my offering a gen missing scene or epilogue. When I asked her which episode she wanted addressed, and which scene or ending, she gave me three suggestions. Well, her donation was so generous, I decided she deserved to have all three. Thanks, Hopeanne, for your wonderful support!

The stories are:

No Way 15 KB
Hope wanted to know how, in Night Train, Blair knew Jim wasn't dead…

Aftermath 81 KB
Hope requested an epilogue to Cypher ….

Delayed Impact 153 KB
Hope suggested that perhaps Blair had been hurt more badly than he let on after falling into the dig in Breaking Ground, and asked for an epilogue that would explore such a scenario.

My thanks, as always, to StarWatcher for her beta assistance and to Starfox for hosting these stories in her beautiful Mansion.

If you check them out, I hope you'll enjoy them!

Oh, and by the way, an update on my last Moonridge 2007 commitment -- I've written about twenty-five pages of the latest story in the Bitterwood Creek Saga of Old West AU series. It's gonna be another long one, LOL! And now that thirty days have expired since the last winner received it, next week, I'll be posting the Moonridge 2007 novel, The Silent Key (slash).

::back to typing position after reading lying down::

Ahh, fantastic bedtime stories! ::stretches:: Each built on the last with some great 'internal' meta by Blair in "No Way" and Jim in "Aftermath". It culminated in a perfect h/c tale in Delayed Impact (those nursing skills came in handy there, I'll bet), with each thinking about their places in the violent world they occupy.
Thanks Hopeanne for getting us all this lovely present!

::pads over to Jess Riley's place:: Hmmm, wonder what's new here?

Roslyn, you're as fast as Jess! Thanks so much for letting me know you enjoyed all three stories. It was neat writing them in sequence, to have some resonance amongst them.

It feels so good to be reading fic again and Delayed Impact was a perfect way to get the momentum going. I've always loved missing scenes from Breaking Ground and this one certainly lived up to my expectations. Thank you for a lovely 'hurt' and lots of 'comfort' read.

Well done!

Jess, hey, wow, you read that fast! ::grins:: Thanks so much for letting me know you enjoyed it!

I saw it the minute it popped up and I already had a coffee ready to go on this lazy Sunday morning, so I read! ::grin::

Now, I must be having a coffee high, because I've just finished No Way (although in all fairness, it was shorter - LOL) An interesting peek inside of Blair's head and his feelings during this ep. I was happy to see he never gave up up on the big fellar.

One more to go!

Blair give up on Jim???? Perish the thought! ::grins::

cool! more stories. I read three of the new ones last night, only one more of those to go. It was so nice to be lost in Jim and Blair's world for a while. Great stuff, arianna! thanks!

Sallye, I'm glad you've been enjoying these Moonridge offerings! I really appreciate your note!

More FB - aftermath
I must admit when I first watched this ep, (the scene where he's trying to ring Jim) my immediate thoughts were that perhaps Blair was just a tiny little bit whimpy. ::ducks for cover:: but this was quickly put to rest in the next scene where you see him fighting back against Lash.

This part in your story probably really sums up how brave Blair really was.

"Being brave isn't the absence of fear, Blair," Jim told him. "Being brave is about doing what you need to do, even when you're terrified,

Thank you for a lovely Sunday morning of reading!

Thank you for a lovely Sunday morning of reading!

You're most welcome!!! Gosh, it's great to hear from you, and to hear you sound so relaxed. Now that you've finished these three, have you read the four just above them, the 'quadrangle for PatK'? LOL. Writing for Moonridge has sure kept me busy this summer!

Gosh, it's great to hear from you, and to hear you sound so relaxed.

I know I've been seriously missing in action, but it got to the point were something had to give and that something ended up being the fandom. As you know it took me so long to get The Test out of my brain and rewriting the other 5 stories wasn't as quick and easy as I thought. Basically everytime I sat down at the computer I did a quick scan of LJ, the lists and spent the rest of the time writing. I really didn't have any time at all for reading.

But now they're all done and I'm back! I've actually just found a story in my WIP that's been sitting there since 2005. I don't know why I left it as it's nearly finished. Maybe I'll fiddle with it more this afternoon. And OMG, I think it'll end up being preslash - LOL

Now that you've finished these three, have you read the four just above them, the 'quadrangle for PatK'?

No I haven't as yet ::adding them to my list:: :0)

Oh, these were wonderful! I really loved Aftermath; loved the addition of the fire and the great opportunity it provided for comforting. And I also loved Delayed Impact. I loved Jim's thoughts about Cassie and his marking boundaries around Blair...*g*

::grins:: Yeah, nobody messes with 'his' Blair!

Thanks so much for writing to let me know you enjoyed the stories!
