LMFA Nominations

Congratulations to everyone who has been nominated this year! And a huge thank you to the LMFA Committee members who make this annual event possible, and to the wonderful readers who take the time to fill in the nomination ballots.

Man, I've been on cloud nine since receiving the emails from the Committee. I write to entertain, so I treasure each and every note of feedback and nomination I've ever been given because they let me know that people are enjoying my work. But this year, they are especially meaningful. Except for bits of time here and there, I haven't been able to write for almost a year and it's so easy to think that 'out of sight, out of mind' holds sway. It's been so hard not to be able to write with abandon. But these nominations let me know that even if I can't write now, the stories that are out there are still entertaining people, still touching a chord, and I'm so very glad to know that. I'm hoping that I'll be able to get back to writing after my surgery this fall, hopefully by early next year.

I wish I knew who to thank specifically for these nominations -- I'd like to give each and everyone of you a huge hug to thank you for having given me such great joy.

Congratulations. I think readers have long memories when it comes to your wonderful stories. But I do hope your surgery is successful so you can write more soon.
