I'm pleased to announce that my second Moonridge 2009 story is now posted in Starfox's Mansion at http://www.wolfpanther.com/stories/now.html Long and angsty, you might want tissues handy, but I don't do unhappy endings.

Word count: 85622. If you print before reading, note that it's 10 font, so you may want to enlarge the font before printing.

I'm grateful to Suzanne, Bee, Debbie, Gerri, Mary, Sallye, Sandra, Shirley, and Terry for your generous support to Moonridge.

If you check it out, I hope you enjoy it!

Remember that we have to break the url code when posting in LJ, so there's a space between the now and html that needs to be closed to make the link work.

There's a space between "/now" and ".html". If you close it, here and at ts_news, the link should go live.

But didn't you say in another message that we have to use dot or have a space or something to keep the link from being live, because there're trackers or something in LJ???? Geez, I try to do this right and I'm still wrong.

That's only to protect your email addy from being snagged by robots and added to spam lists. We want actual URLs to be live.

Sorry to be slow in answering -- the browser froze, and I had to restart.

Fixed now.

It sounds yummy, and I'm going to have to wait till at least this weekend to read it, because, you know... work. And sleep.

LOL. Sounds like a good idea. I really do hope you'll enjoy when you've got the time. ;)

Oh. Yes. It's been a long time since I saw a story deal so comprehensively with much of the canon events of the entire run of the show. This also showcased both strengths and weaknesses of both characters with a satisfying smattering of the entire crew. And some REAL surprises there – not just from the way the story was so well written but also because I personally didn't think that Arianna would think that way (I won't be explicit here and spoil that for others). But I can do a few favorite lines:

Jim had always thought he was the silent one, the one who hid everything inside, and it turned out that it was the kid, with his nearly non-stop talking, who was the man who really never gave anything away,

This really capped an important concept – Blair appeared 'free' but was as trapped interiorly as Jim was in his own way.

From Blair's POV: Oh, forget it; he was still so mad he could spit.

This was a cool, 'knock off the BS, BS' in terms of admitting to anger :-)

I can apply wet teabags to his eyes, to also bring down the swelling.

Hey, someone else knows about this remedy. Another vintage Blair moment.

But he'd spent the night listening to every creak in the cottage as the heat of the day bled from the wood, every whisper and rustle of leaves and critters skittering through the night, every hoot of a hunting owl.

Wonderful imagery.

I won't give more away until others have had a chance to read it. A very satisfying roller coaster! I can't believe you managed all that typing as well – so thank you for the present.

Thanks, Roslyn, for such an enthusiastic and comprehensive note of feedback. I'm delighted that you enjoyed the story (and, man, you're a fast reader!) and grateful for your positive review.

And, yes, the typing was slow going, which is why it took so darned long to write. Hard to believe in over a year I've only managed to produce two stories....

But, please, write me privately to let me know what surprised you about the way I think! ::grins::

Oh lovely - a long long fic from you.

I'm another one who'll have to leave it for a few days to find time to read, but it's great to have something new of yours to look forward too, thank you. ::beams::
