Blindsided, is the second of my two story offerings in the 2009 Online Moonridge Auction. This short story was originally written for Betagoddess, and I'm grateful to her for agreeing to make it available to others through the auction. I'm also grateful to the eight people who donated to receive it. As always, my thanks go to StarWatcher for her beta support, and to Rhianne, for hosting my slash TS stories on her website.

Blindsided is a slash story set one year post TSbyBS. Blair is a detective and Jim's official partner. Everything is going great until Jim is blindsided by waves of overwhelming emotions that he doesn't understand; he only knows it all has something to do with Blair.

No warnings, no graphic sexual situations.

Word count: 8657

If you have a chance to check it out, I hope you enjoy it!

A throughly sweet story that has Jim puzzled by his body's reactions. good thing he has Blair to help him figure it out.

LOL. Poor Jim. Yep, definitely a good thing he's got Blair to help sort it all out. ::grins:: Thanks, Laurie, for letting me know you enjoyed it.

That has got to be one of the sweetest, most genuine romance stories I've read in years. I shy away from most Jim/Blair because I've seen a lot that sacrifices characterization in favor of expediency and I cannot abide ooc fic whether it's slash or het because, at that point, you may as well be reading original work instead of fanfic about the characters you've grown to love.

This is absolutely glorious because this is what I believe the transition from friends to lovers should be: a natural progression as opposed to any kind of actual change. Jim remains Jim throughout. He's afraid of his own emotions, reluctant to examine them too closely, and he needs Blair's help, just like always. And, of course, for Blair affection and openness are second nature right alongside his natural insight and serenity. You just do a really great job capturing the boys and staying perfectly true-to-character even though their whole situation's just been turned on its head.

Nothing's really changed and I just love that about this fic...

It's really the best romance with the boys I've ever read. Way too many soften Jim's flaws and mannerisms too much, make him try too hard or chanfe too much and not only would Jim not go there, Blair would never want him on those terms. So this is great :)

Lucky me - that's three of your stories I've got tagged to read now - I'm going to have such a feast when I've got a few spare hours *hg* So thanks in advance!

LOL! Three? Well, this one's short but the others could take a chunk of time. ::grins::

Seriously, I sure hope you enjoy them when you have some spare moments.
