LMFA Results

Oh, wow, what a way to end 2005! (Here on the Pacific coast, it won't be next year for nearly two hours yet!)

I'm really thrilled with the results, and grateful to everyone who voted for my stories -- really, really glad to know In Plain Sight, Distant Thunder, Quiet Desperation and Holocaust were enjoyed this much and remembered so favourably. And it's an honour, indeed, to tie for best gen author with the fabulous LKY!

But I'm just as delighted with the awards that others achieved: Shedoc for Apache, an absolutely fabulous story, and Karen, who is one of the funniest writers out there. Lamardeuse's Equilibrium, Lady Ra's Visiting Alex and Fluterbev's Conforming to Requirements are awesome stories. I love Jess's Runaway Train, The Guide, and the A Part of Me series. Well, all the stories are wonderful. And Lorraine, wow ... you rock, lady! Lupe, well done with your first computer assisted art, and Peter, hey, The Kiss is magic. And hugs to Sylvette, my collaborator on Holocaust -- brilliant concept, buddy. Thanks for letting me share in it.

Congratulations to everyone!!!!!

Sigh. Yep, a really, really nice way to end the year. Can't seem to stop smiling.

Congratulations and very well done on the LMF awards. I am delighted to see that so many of the people I voted for won an award. It is a nice way to say thank you to the authors and artists for all the enjoyment they bring.

Congratulations! I am so pleased for you. I'd bounce if I wasn't way too old and decrepit for bouncing. This has been a very good week. Very deserved, M. You go girl!

Thanks, Annie! And, hey, I hope the trip to the hospital goes well and they can do something that will really help make that back pain go away. Best wishes, Annie -- I sure hope 2006 is good to you.
